Pair your Store Check-In kiosk

Get the device into app mode, finish the pairing screen, and lock it so shoppers stay in the kiosk experience.

Save the kiosk as an app

Open https://kiosk.storecheckin.com, add it to the home screen, and launch the shortcut so it behaves like a dedicated app.

iOS / iPadOS

  • Tap the Share icon and choose Add to Home Screen.
  • Name it, then open the new shortcut for a full-screen view.

Android

  • Use Chrome’s three-dot menu and choose Add to Home screen or Install app.
  • Confirm and launch the shortcut so it opens in its own window.

This step makes the kiosk behave like a standalone app so Guided Access or App Pinning can keep shoppers inside the experience.

Finish the pairing screen

With the kiosk shortcut open, enter your myshopify.com domain and select the matching Location.

  • Keep the pairing code visible while you switch to Shopify Admin.
  • Open Store Check-In → Device Management → Sync New Device, paste the code, and click Authorise.
  • Keep the kiosk open on this confirmation screen while you finalize locking the device.

Lock the tablet into kiosk mode

Guided Access (iPad) or App Pinning (Android) keeps shoppers inside the kiosk and away from other apps.

Guided Access

  • Enable Settings → Accessibility → Guided Access.
  • Launch the kiosk, triple-click the side/top button, adjust options, and tap Start.

App Pinning

  • Turn on Screen/App Pinning in Settings → Security & privacy.
  • Open Recent Apps, tap the kiosk icon, and choose Pin. Use the prompt to unpin later.
